I was driving along I-96 outside of Detroit and happened to see an interesting bumper sticker on the car in front of me. It said “Will the last one out of Michigan please turn off the lights?” As I was reading the bumper sticker, I drove by an empty lot that used to be home to one of Detroit’s biggest auto plants.
