I was driving along I-96 outside of Detroit and happened to see an interesting bumper sticker on the car in front of me. It said “Will the last one out of Michigan please turn off the lights?” As I was reading the bumper sticker, I drove by an empty lot that used to be home to one of Detroit’s biggest auto plants. These two events made me realize just how bad the state of the economy is right now. Sad as it may be, we need to be able to continue on with our lives and look to the future. Being a college student I had a very long and hard time getting a credit card. Everywhere I applied at required a credit line or a co-signer.
